Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Hurricane Nora on Sunday night was dumping heavy rain across northwest Mexico and was forecast to continue to do so for the next couple of days, the National Hurricane Center said.
In its 9 p.m. CDT update, the NHC said Nora's center was about 90 miles southeast of Los Mochis, and was moving north-northwest at 19 mph with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. Hurricane conditions could persist through Monday.
