May 1 (UPI) -- Racing legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy revealed the name of their newborn baby girl on Tuesday morning.

Isla Rose Earnhardt was born April 30, a day after Dale Earnhardt Sr. would have turned 67 years old. The Earnhardts announced they were expecting a baby in September. The couple began dating in 2009 and married on New Years Eve in 2017.

"She's finally here! @DaleJr and I are officially parents to a beautiful baby girl, Isla Rose Earnhardt," Amy Earnhardt tweeted. "It feels like a dream. The best dream ever."

Dale Jr. retired from NASCAR in 2017, following a notorious 18-year career in the sport.

"Everyone was right," Dale Jr. tweeted Tuesday. "It's a new beginning. Now everything I do will be for her and Amy. So blessed."

The Earnhardts will appear in the series Renovation Realities: Dale Jr. and Amy. The series premieres at 9 p.m. on June 2 at DIY Network.
