May 21 (UPI) -- More heavy rain is expected in the U.S. Southeast from the Carolinas to Florida this week after a weekend of rain.
Tropical moisture is on the way, and a flood watch for southern Florida counties was in effect Monday. A high-pressure system is expected to remain in the Atlantic Ocean, bringing additional rain to the region after 10 inches of rain fell in the past eight days. As much as 4 more inches of rain can be expected in Florida and southern Alabama this week, ABC News reported.
