Whale lifts kayakers out of the water on its back

March 7 (UPI) -- A pair of kayakers in Argentina received the shock of their lives when a whale swam under the boat and lifted them onto its back.

The video shows a man and a woman in a two-person kayak near some whales off the coast of Puerto Madryn in the Patagonia region.

One particularly curious whale makes its way over to the pair, who excitedly film it, before the creature dives back under water.

The whale returns to the surface -- underneath the kayak. The boat and its shocked occupants are briefly lifted into the air by the whale.
