HOUSTON, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- When he's not starring on HBO's "Hard Knocks," All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt is eating.

And when he eats, he goes big.

Watt eats about 9,000 calories per day to maintain his goliath physique, according to ESPN.

The 26-year-old and his trainer, Brad Arnett, told ESPN that Watt needed to add fats and a cheat meal to his diet to accumulate 6,000 to 9,000 calories to fuel his frame.

"It's literally, if I'm not working out, I eat the whole time I'm not working out," Watt told ESPN. "It's exhausting. You have to force feed. You have to force yourself to eat food."

Some of the meals Watt had included eight chicken breasts, with three wrapped in bacon, everyday. Watt said his personal meal plan is a secret, but ESPN's Tania Ganguli estimated it would take 50 slices of bacon, 20 chicken breasts and 13 avocados to get to 9,000 calories.

"I love brunch," Watt told Ganguli. "Brunch is my favorite meal. I went there, had brunch, had a massive potato pancake omelet, which is an omelet inside a potato pancake. Then I had stuffed French toast with berries and stuff. My cheat meals aren't even that exciting. That was my cheat meal. The omelet is still pretty darn healthy. The stuffed French toast was the cheat meal, but that was delicious."
