Indianapolis Colts' Chuck Pagano standing strong for Kansas City Chiefs' Eric Berry

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- The man who many rallied around while he battled cancer in 2012, is standing up for one NFL player in very familiar territory.

Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano sported a shirt that read: "Be Bold", "Be Brave", "Be Berry" Tuesday at Colts camp. The shirt also had Eric Berry's name and No. 29 on the back.

Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry battled Hodgkin's lymphoma last year, but was proclaimed cancer free last month.

"He (Pagano) would text me and tell me, 'look, they're going to do a bone marrow biopsy," Berry told USA Today last month. "This is what you need to be prepared for — this, this, this, and this.' And he had me prepared for a lot of the things that I wasn't aware of, so I think I was just very blessed to have people to reach out and help me along this whole situation."

Berry, 26, was the No. 5 overall selection in the 2010 NFL draft. He has made three Pro Bowls.
