NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The makers of PBS mainstay Sesame Street have unveiled "Big Birdman," a Birdman parody starring Big Bird and his voice actor, Caroll Spinney.

The parody of the Michael Keaton-starring drama, released just in time for Sunday's Oscar night, casts Spinney, 81, in the Keaton role with the voice of Big Bird, the character he has voiced for the past 45 years, appearing in his head.

"Maybe we should have done that Raymond Carver play," Big Bird says, referencing the plot of Birdman.

"How did we get here? How did we get to Sesame Street?"

The PBS Kids program is no stranger to parody -- rapper Macklemore recently appeared on the program to perform a parody version of his own song, "Thrift Shop."
