Republicans like Obamacare more when it's called the Affordable Care Act

Republican support for the 2010 healthcare law jumped 8 points to 22 percent from 14 percent when it was referred to by its actual name rather than "Obamacare" in a Fox News poll.

The poll of 900 registered voters was conducted Sept. 6-9. Pollsters asked 443 people about Obamacare and 457 were asked about the Affordable Care Act.

Overall support rose from 34 percent for Obamacare to 39 percent for the Affordable Care Act. Democratic support rose one point while independent support rose four points.

Meanwhile, a Pew Research Center survey conducted Sept. 4-8 among 1,506 adults found that among the 85 percent of Republicans who disapprove of the health care law, 43 percent believe elected officials should do what they can to make the law fail.

But the Republicans are divided, as 64 percent of Tea Party Republicans want elected officials to make the law fail while just 31 percent of Republicans who do not identify with the Tea Party support that approach.
